In this introductory level course prepared for those willing to have a career in merchandising and purchasing in fashion retail, participants will develop a rough perspective in fashion industry and gain command of basic dynamics of the purchasing processes. This course analyzes duties and responsibilities of merchandisers and buyers and their roles in the organization as well as providing general information regarding their relationship with other departments in the decision making mechanism.
