2026 Fashion Design and Technology Undergraduate Program — Aptitude Exam and Interview Information
Application requirements:
- Between the ages of 17–27
- At least a final-year high school student, or a high school graduate
- Must have a portfolio
Aptitude exam:
Date: June 24, 2026 Time: 10:00 – 12:30 < Drawing Exam 13:30 – 17:00 < Interview and Portfolio Evaluation
*The interview is conducted by the Education Committee. *Candidates are called in for the interview in alphabetical order. *Since interviews are held in person and in alphabetical order, we kindly ask you to set aside your entire day for us on June 24, 2026.
The exam consists of 2 stages:
- Stage: Hand Drawing Exam
- Stage: Interview and Portfolio Evaluation
Program this applies to: Fashion Design and Technology Undergraduate Program
- Program Duration: 3 years
- Class Days: Every weekday
- Class Hours: 09:30–16:30
Details regarding the portfolio you must bring with you to the exam, and points to consider when preparing the portfolio to be presented:
- It must be prepared specifically for IMA (Istanbul Moda Akademisi)
- The portfolio must consist of at least 15 to 20 pages (the presentation must not exceed 10 minutes)
- It must include designs and drawings made within the last 3 years
Design processes and details to be evaluated in the portfolio:
- Must include images featuring both hand and digital drawings
- Must include various artistic works produced by the candidate
- Must include line-up and sketch studies
