Participants are selected through interviewing and talent exam. Talent exam is given in order to measure the skills and abilities of participants. Having, if any, examples of previous works and portfolios with them during interviews would be helpful for participants to express and introduce themselves more comfortably in visual terms.
The aptitude exam tests the student's perception and visual ability. For this purpose, each school may apply a different method each year.
STAGE 1 – Drawing Exam and General Knowledge: Tests candidates' drawing ability and general knowledge.
STAGE 2 – Portfolio Interview: Conducted verbally, based on a presentation file prepared with artistic knowledge and work samples. Candidates are examined one by one. (It does not have to contain fashion design content.) Candidates come to the interview with a presentation file describing a different art field or competencies they are interested in.
The exam and interview take place at Istanbul Moda Akademisi.
Candidates who succeed in both stages are notified to complete their enrollment process for the Fashion Design and Technology Undergraduate Program.
