İMA Sector

Adopting work based Learning  environment; IMA has the privilege to closely collaborate with the textile sector in various projects which in turn support its education programs. Collaboration takes place in two ways, İMA Industrial Projects and İMA Designer Projects according to the subjects and requirements of the performed program. These collaborations aim at strengthening the content of the programs with experiences reflecting the essences of the sector.

İMA Industrial Projects help students prepare themselves for the industry, through acquiring an in-depth glimpse thereto, in periodical intervals set to boost İMA’s education perspective based on professional principles. Those projects are designed to produce an accurate example of the design process that covers visual research, design development, material selection, sample production and case studies touching upon current issues.

İMA Designer Projects focus on the self-knowledge of students, enabling them to enrich their different abilities and create their own design language and style. In this respect, studies are conducted to bring students together with branded designers, have them observe the working methods of the designers, and the design process; and understand the required abilities to direct the creative team in this process.
