İMA, has provided over 10 thousand graduates in 10 years and continues to support its graduates!

The New Gen fashion show, which has been formed by the Istanbul Moda Academy graduates, took place on Wendesday the 28th March at Zorlu Performance Art Centre within the scope of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul.

The collections, which were prepared for New Gen by the Istanbul Moda Academy graduates Şebnem Günay and Neslihan Çömez, presented at “NEW GEN” Fashion Show within the scope of Mecedes Benz Fashion Week Istanbul Autumn-Winter 2018 in which fashion industry`s big names participated.

Istanbul Moda Academy draws a road map for its students and graduates with a perspective that supports every perennial growth within its own ecosystem that is created during graduate and undergraduate programs while its students and graduates get to know the industry closely, getting ready for their professional lives and also supports Turkey's most important fashion event like MBFWI with a sense of education that carries the quality of a bridge in the sector and the vision of building strong networks.

At New Gen Fasion Show, the collections consisting of 15 pieces were presented which belong to Şebnem Günay who graduated in 2016 from “Fashion Design and Management Diploma Graduate Program” and Neslihan Çömez who graduated in 2017 from “Fashion Design and Technology Undergraduate Program” .

Young designers, who have previously been in MBFWI and Graduation Show, who have already experienced this excitement are continuing their journey with much more confidence and increasing their experience with the continued support of İMA.

The fashion show presented with the themes of Şebnem Günay's 'Still Taste the Past' and Neslihan Çömez's 'Hide Your Inverse', while promising hope to the Turkish Fashion Industry; it also forms one of the most important doors opening to a brighter future for young designers.

The most recent New Gen Show, also included a surpise. In cooperation with “Make-A-Wish Turkey®”, a wish was granted to bring hope, strength and joy to a wish child suffering from a life-threatening disease. Ahmet Koray, whose one-true-wish was to walk on the catwalk as the head model, appeared on the podium together with IMA designers. Ahmet is 15 years old and is under treatment for leukemia. He wants to become a fashion designer and organize his own fashion show when his treatment is complete.
