Turkey’s most profound fashion education platform Istanbul Moda Academy (İMA), bringing up fashion designs of the future in the light of its 360 degree perspective to fashion held a magnificent graduation ceremony for 2010 graduates.
Since its foundation in 2007, Istanbul Moda Academy (İMA), has exhibited works by their graduates at the school building in Teşvikiye. This year’s exhibition opening on 30 June 2011 was honored by İHKİB Chairperson Hikmet Tanrıverdi as well as a number of prominent figures in the sector. The original designs of the 2011 graduates exhibited were proof of the students’ involvement in all stages of the process, not just creation of the design.
Continuously working towards strengthening the concepts of design and fashion in Turkey, encouraging innovative thinking as well as a desire for improvement while raising a new awareness of fashion education in Turkey at global level, Istanbul Moda Academy gave its newly graduated design students an opportunity to present and exhibit their own designs.
İMA is an exciting platform for fashion professionals and students, feeding on academy, fashion and textile industry to provide the sector with qualified human resources to develop and improve it. The exhibition prepared by 2010 İMA Graduates opened its doors to visitors on Tuesday, 13 July 2010. Following the opening ceremony, İMA hosted a cocktail party in celebration of the students’ graduation.
