Fashion Management Introductory Programme (Organised in collaboration with BÜYEM)
General purpose: This program offers further development for people who have experience in fashion and textile industry and explains basic concepts of fashion management for those who wish to enter into the industry. This program is also suitable for experienced managers to enhance and update their knowledge on the latest developments in the fashion industry such as purchasing, marketing, retail, brand management, communications, fashion design, visual merchandising, etc.  
Duration: 6 months (144 hours)
Days: Monday and Wednesday evenings, 18.30-21.30 or Saturdays, 10.00-17.00

  • International Fashion Marketing
  • Fashion Retail Management

Fashion Design Introductory Programme
General purpose: This program aims to provide its participants with an industry- focused fashion education in a creative environment within world standards in order to give them an opportunity for innovative and creative development besides a strong professional perspective.
Duration: 6 months (120 hours)
Days: Monday and Wednesday evenings, 19.00 -21.30 ; Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 19.00-21.30 or Saturdays, 9.30-16.30

Content of the Programme:
  • Drawing Techniques; Fashion Drawing
  • Fashion Design; Collection Planning and Development
  • Technical Product Development Process; Pattern Techniques; and Sewing Techniques
  • Fashion Marketing, Trends & Styling
  • Photoshop CS3 and Illustrator CS3
Fashion Photography and "Styling"
General purpose: This programme is aiming to introduce fashion photography and gain its participants with knowledge and skill to produce their own projects. It provides studying fashion photography by analyzing the examples of shooting practices and techniques; and by studio practices.
Duration: 4 months (75 hours)
Days: 2 days a week, 19:00-21:30

  • Photography principles
  • Cultural studies on fashion and photography
  • Studio photography
  • Retouching techniques by using Photoshop
  • Concept and styling in fashion photography
  • Teamwork in fashion photography
  • Photograph shooting in studio and outdoor
Photoshop and Illustrator in Fashion Design Introductory Programme
General purpose: This program provides fashion professionals with practice in using Adobe Photoshop and vector-based Adobe Illustrator software in fashion design.
Duration: 3 months (72 hours)
Days: Saturdays, 9.30-16.30
Start Date: October 10, 2009
Content of the Programme:
  • Adobe Photoshop Software:  learning the tool options, working with layers and masks, and preparing designs and patterns
  • Adobe Illustrator Software:  learning the tool options, working with layers and masks, and preparing designs and patterns
  • Collecting Documents, Sketch Drawing, Printed + Woven Pattern Studies, Effects, Colour Combination Studies, Model Drawing Studies.
Fashion Drawing Techniques Introductory Programme
General purpose: This program provides its participants with knowledge and practice on drawing skills which are the building blocks in learning fashion design and the best way to materialise one’s own vision with right guidance and technique.
Duration: 6 months (96 hours)
Days: Saturdays, 9.30-13.30
Start Date: October 10, 2009

  • Comparing Live Human Silhouettes to Model Figure Silhouettes
  • Preparing Story Boards
  • Perspective, Proportion, and Measurements
  • Artistic Drawing Studies
  • Preparing Drawing Portfolios
